The training is intended for immigrant women studying at higher education institutions in the Pirkanmaa region, as well as for immigrant women living in Pirkanmaa who have already completed a degree but do not have a valid integration plan. Start level: A2 (Suomen mestari 2)

Location
The training is conducted partly in-person and partly online via the ZOOM platform.
Target group
The primary target group includes immigrant women pursuing a degree at Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences, as well as immigrant women living in Pirkanmaa who have already completed a degree but do not have a valid integration plan. The initial Finnish language proficiency level required is A2.1 (The end of Suomen mestari 2 -book), and the target level of the training is B1.
Content and Objective
"Finnish Language Training for Immigrant Women" is a 80-hour course designed to develop participants’ Finnish language skills required in working life. The training focuses on recognizing and using appropriate language forms (formal and informal), style, and vocabulary in both spoken and written communication. In addition to the Finnish course, there is also individual and small-group support available.

The training is funded by a grant from the Finnish National Agency for Education. Participation is free of charge.
