Good Life – Basics of Positive Psychology in English
Saturday and Sunday 22.-23.3.2025 from 9:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Face-to-face teaching, CLIL course*
What is happiness? What actions and exercises can you use to shape your life for the better? Do you recognize your strengths?
In this workshop, we will familiarize ourselves with the five areas of positive psychology described in the PERMA model of good life, which gives more information about yourself and highlights important things in your life.
The areas are:
- Positive emotions
- Engagement (FLOW)
- Relationships
- Meaning
- Accomplishment
You will also get information about physical well-being and the interventions and different waves of positive psychology.
Positive psychology focuses on examining people’s strengths and resources instead of looking at weaknesses and shortcomings. It is based on precise and controlled scientific research. The course includes short lecture sections and exercises and conversation in pairs and in groups.
The language of the course is English, and the exercises are also carried out in English, using wordlists for help if necessary. English structures and expressions are discussed in more detail as needed. The goal is to find different ways that will help the participants move forward more positively both in English studies and in life in general.
