Online lessons twice a week: On Tuesdays at 13.00 - 16.00 and on Thursdays at 13.00-16.00

No lessons during winter break in Week 9 (February 25 and 27, 2025), on May Day (May 1, 2025), or on Ascension Day (May 29, 2025).

Location
The training will be conducted online via the ZOOM platform.

Target Group
Unemployed or at-risk-of-unemployment immigrants who already have Finnish language skills at levels B1-B2 (Independent User / Upper Intermediate) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Content and objective

Language Skills for Becoming an International Expert is a 120-hour Finnish language course focusing on expanding vocabulary and improving writing skills. During the sessions, participants will read authentic texts, analyze and interpret them, discuss their content, and write their own texts based on them.

The goal is that by the end of the course, participants will be able to express themselves clearly, write structured texts on complex topics, and communicate with precision. The course is designed for individuals with Finnish skills at levels B1-B2, aiming to reach levels C1-C2.

The training is funded by a grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture and is free of charge for participants.
