Contents

The course is based on the Yabluko textbook B1 level (Lessons 1-6), workbook (Lessons 1-6), audio materials, verb tables, and grammar reference. Lessons are built around a central grammar point and a real-life situation. You will also have access to tests, games, and audio recordings.

 In class we will:

– Work in pairs and small groups

– Discuss real-life topics and cultural themes

– Complete creative and practical tasks

– Prepare for written and spoken communication in various social contexts

The course is taught mainly in Ukrainian (also Finnish and English if needed).

Modes of study

The  course comprises 52 lessons (à 45 minutes) as well as independent work. The student workload of a 4 ECTS course is approximately 108 hours (including lessons and independent work). To pass the course, participants need to attend the lessons regularly and be active, do homework and take the final exam, which will be evaluated on scale 0–5. To pass the course, students need to attend approximately 80 per cent of the lessons.

You can also participate on the course without taking the final exam. This means that you will not get credits (ECTS) for the course.
