Online contact lessons 18.5.–29.6.2026 Mondays and Fridays at 17.00–18.30 and Wednesday 17.6. at 17.00–18.30 (no lessons on Monday 15.6. and Friday 19.6)
We will use Zoom and Moodle platforms on the course. To participate on the lessons, you will need a computer with an internet connection, a microphone and (if possible) a camera.
Target group
The course 'The Secrets of Ukrainian Verbs' is suitable for those people who have been on some Ukrainian intermediate courses (Ukrainian language skill level at least A2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)).
Contents
This course focuses on Ukrainian verbs, particularly perfective and prefixed forms. Students will learn the differences between Ukrainian and Finnish (or English) verbs, master verb aspects, tenses, and prefixed constructions that give verbs various shades of meaning. Practice will include sentence formation, short dialogues, and text analysis for deeper context comprehension. Upon completing the course, students will confidently use Ukrainian verbs in everyday and more complex situations, understand contextual differences, and formulate thoughts in Ukrainian more naturally.
The languages of instruction are Ukrainian and Finnish, English if needed.
Modes of study
The course contains 24 lessons (à 45 min.) as well as independent work. There will be no end-of-course test.

You will get an early bird discount of EUR10 when you enrol on this course by 26.4.2026 and pay the course fee online after filling in the enrolment form. After 27.4. the course fee will be 110 euros.
