Description

You would like to talk about your passion or explain the way of life in your country, but you can't find the words. “Nice” and “interesting” doesn't really generate conversation. This intensive vocabulary weekend will increase your vocabulary and self-confidence - come along!

A broad vocabulary is crucial, as it enables versatile self-expression and understanding of even more complex ideas. A strong vocabulary serves as the basis for effective communication and reading comprehension.

The themes of the course are 1) Modern life and technology: social media, consumer behavior, and 2) Environment and science: nature and weather. The topics are explored by specifying and utilizing functional language structures, such as idioms, phrasal verbs, and collocations.

Students also compile a vocabulary list about their own hobby or other area of interest.

Lots of discussion in pairs and groups, as well as practical exercises.
