Target group

Do you want to improve your English pronunciation?

This Pronunciation Practise Course is an intensive course designed for B1+ (intermediate and above) level learners who want to improve their English pronunciation. You will learn how to pronounce individual sounds, words and sentences more clearly. You will have lots of opportunities to practise dialogues, listen to distinct sounds, read texts, and discuss.

Objectives

By the end of the course you will have learnt how to pronounce specific English sounds more clearly. You will have more confidence in producing sounds more accurately, and speaking more naturally with better intonation.

Contents

• Participants will listen to different accents, practise how to make specific sounds, and learn how to hear sound differences.

We will practise:

• All the sounds used in English
• Combining sounds
• Using word stress in multi-syllable words.

There is a particular focus on sounds Finns, and other nationalities, find difficult to produce, such as: th, t/d, b/p, k/g, ch/j, z/s, sh/s and  w/v.

The course is taught in English.

Modes of study

Active and regular attendance. There will be no end of course test.

Teacher's own materials will be used as well.

Early bird discount
